Accomplishments
2002: commissioned by Universal Records to put together a compilation of international Indiepop artists. The result was this compilation called I’d Spend My Day With You (a collection of possible pop songs, volume 1).
2001: co-produced an independent compilation for Definition Records. The album entitled Mutual Admiration Society consisted of music from various local Indie artists that deserve to be heard.
Background
Music enthusiast. Known to make diverse mixes of 60’s lounge, downtempo, acid jazz and Indiepop, which is perfect for disco-frenzied Indie kids and the cosmopolitan society. For party entrées that continue to reach the right vibe until you’re after hours delight.
Started DJing since 1985 during the heydays of the mobile scene in the country. Under the group Central Distraction, a lot of guestings were done in 99.5RT to supply music for their 'new wave' segments or for their Saturday Night Live shows.
Joined Groove Nation in 1994 and was involved with the conceptualization of the Consortium parties. And was a resident DJ since then. The name Mario Bros was a moniker used back in the early days.
From 1995-2000, has been actively DJing in clubs/ bars as Industria, Metallic Banana, The Verve Room, Lava Lounge, and Mazzo to name a few.
In 2001-2002, co-hosted an indie-themed radio show for RX93.1 called Groove Nation’s The Fridge. In line with Groove Nation’s mission, The Fridge continued to introduce to its audience flexible independent music ranging from pop to rock and everything in-between – a true place where everything is cool.
